Each department has standards of professionalism that are required to be maintained. Grand Paradise Waterpark is particularly interested in hiring personable and energetic individuals. The Water Safety team is the largest single group of staff members at Grand Paradise Waterpark. They have the important responsibility of insuring the safe operation of the park, it’s attractions and guests. The team consists of two vital groups…Lifeguards and Slide Attendants.
Lifeguard: Applicants must complete the American Red Cross Certified Lifeguard Training. Applicants must meet the following prerequisites: be at least 16 years old, able to swim 500 yards using freestyle and backstroke and swim twenty yards then recover a 10 lb. weight from deep water and return to your starting point while holding the weight with both hands.
Slide Attendants: Responsible for dispatching guest at the top of the slides. Applicants must meet the following prerequisites: Be at least 16 years old, successfully complete the American Red Cross CPR for Adult, Child & Infant Certification.
Team members work at the front gate greeting guest, taking tickets and answering customer questions. Guest service staff must be very outgoing and customer friendly. Team members are required to successfully complete the Grand Paradise Waterpark’s guest relations program.
Admissions clerks are some of the first staff that guest meet. Personable, friendly, customer service oriented people are a must for these positions. All cashiers must successfully complete the Grand Paradise Waterpark’s cashier training classes and are required to maintain established performance levels.
Works in the gift shop, rental locations and at Big Squirt. All merchandise personnel must successfully complete the Grand Paradise Waterpark’s cashier training classes and are required to maintain established performance levels.
A major part of the Grand Paradise Waterpark experience is fast, quality food service. The food service team is one of our largest departments. Duties include the preparation and serving of a wide variety of culinary delights to our many guests. This team also hosts numerous catered events to area corporations and organizations. Food service staff must successfully complete the Grand Paradise Waterpark sanitation and food service training.
Team members are responsible for maintaining Grand Paradise Waterpark’s trademark appearance and cleanliness. Maintenance staff is responsible for the overall cleanliness of the pools, landscaping, building, bathroom, and attractions.
